\nPosition Overview: We are seeking a motivated Hydrogeologist for a contract opportunity with one of our valued clients in the mining industry. This position offers hands-on geological work in dynamic mining environments, focusing on safety, accuracy, and efficiency in all tasks.

\nSkills and Responsibilities:
\n\n\n\t- \n\t
Overseeing and providing technical guidance related to borehole logging, installation, and maintenance of groundwater wells, hydraulic well testing and surface and groundwater sampling.
\n\t\n\t - \n\t
Development and implementation of groundwater monitoring programs for mines and contaminated sites.
\n\t\n\t - \n\t
Oversight and performance of hydrogeologic testing including step and constant rate aquifer testing, injection testing, airlift testing, and packer testing.
\n\t\n\t - \n\t
Pumping and monitoring well design and construction.
\n\t\n\t - \n\t
Familiarity with common hydrogeologic test analyses (i.e. Theis, Cooper-Jacob, Jacob-Lohman).
\n\t\n\t - \n\t
Interpretation and analysis of hydrogeological monitoring and characterization data.
\n\t\n\t - \n\t
Extended field assignments of up to 14 days in various locations.
\n\t\n\t - \n\t
Assessment and mitigation of potential environmental impacts for mining operations.
\n\t\n\t - \n\t
Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and 3-D visualization software.
\n\t\n\t - \n\t
Ability to perform data analysis using statistical and analytical methods. Competency with Microsoft Excel, Access, Word, and PowerPoint required.
\n\t\n\t - \n\t
Report writing and presentation skills.
\n\t\n

\nRequired Qualifications:
\n\n\n\t- \n\t
Undergraduate degree in geological engineering or geosciences from a recognized university
\n\t\n\t - \n\t
Strong technical, communication and problem-solving skills.
\n\t\n\t - \n\t
Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication and report writing skills.
\n\t\n\t - \n\t
Valid US driver’s license.
\n\t\n\t - \n\t
Previous relevant geotechnical or hydrogeological consulting and design experience in open pit mines would be considered an asset.
\n\t\n\t - \n\t
Experience with commercial computer software including Microsoft Excel and Access, ArcGIS/QGIS, and various groundwater analysis and modeling software (e.g., AquiferTest, MODFLOW, FeFlow).
\n\t\n\t - \n\t
Willingness to travel domestically and to remote locations.
\n\t\n
